Question:
What do you charge for a wedding video?
Answer: It depends on how
many wedding activities you want taped and integrated into the
finished product. Our Ceremony
Package ($749) includes footage of your ceremony only (for
ceremonies lasting up to 1 hour). The Wedding Day Package ($999)
gives you a cameraperson for four continuous hours, usually beginning
an hour prior to the ceremony. The Weekend
Package includes all the aspects of the Wedding Day Package,
plus having a cameraperson at your rehearsal and rehearsal dinner
for up to three hours ($1,499). Extra hours are $150/hour. We’ll
also consider customized pricing for events that have fewer or more
activities. Travel costs will be added if the cameraperson must travel
more than 100 miles roundtrip. Our Wedding Bells and Whistles Package ($1,999)
includes two extra hours and a second ceremony camera.
Q:
Do you do any editing? What does the finished product look like?
A: We do an Extensive Edit as part of every wedding package. Every wedding is different,
of course, but you can expect the following: A menu-driven DVD that
allows you to watch the entire video (between 1 and 2 hours long - sometimes less than an hour for Ceremony Packages) all
at once or through selected scenes. The video will
feature opening credits, a series of transitioned wedding scenes,
and a touching video montage of your event's most touching highlights. If, after viewing your DVD, you wish to cut things from your video or move things around, our Custom Edition ($249) allows you to order up to 20 changes to your video.
Q:
Your prices are so more reasonable than many other videographers?
How do you do it?
A: We keep our overhead low so that most couples
- not just the wealthy few - can afford us. Also, we do a high volume of weddings. We have enough camerapeople and cameras to do multiple events simultaneously. It helps that we have a sister company, Stellar Media, so we can share overhead expenses.
Q:
What is your experience with videography?
A: We've been doing
videography for ourselves and for friends since 2001. We incorporated
our business in December 2004. In 2005, we filmed 28 weddings in
a variety of settings, from churches to country clubs to beaches
to B&Bs. In 2006, Wedding Bell Videos, Inc. filmed 60 weddings, and in 2007 we shot 65.
Our sister company, Stellar Media, offers a variety of videography
services, from real estate to special events to commercials.
Q:
What type of video do you use? Are there any limitations?
A: Wedding
Bell Videos currently uses the SONY VX2100 as its primary standard definiation (SD) cameras. We also currently offer an HD option (add $499) using our new Sony and Canon cameras.
Our cameras deliver excellent quality in a compact, inconspicuous manner. You may check out the quality
of our video by viewing the videos on this site or by requesting a demo DVD.
Q:
Many video companies will add popular music illegally to the videos
they sell. Would you be willing to do the same for us?
A: WBV, Inc., owns the rights
to various wedding music selections that we will happily add to your
video as part of the overall price. We hope that our clients respect
our decision to use only legally acquired music in our videos.
Q:
May I purchase your services as a surprise gift to the
happy couple?
A: If you purchase a video as a gift, Wedding
Bell Videos, Inc., will contact the couple and make sure
that a video is something they want. We’ll also find
out what kind of video they prefer. If you would like to
keep your name anonymous until after the wedding, you certainly
may.
Q:
What are the steps for arranging for a Wedding Bell video?
A: For
50 percent of the package fee and a signed contract, you can reserve
your event date. At least a month in advance of the wedding, WBV,
Inc., will send you a questionnaire where you can express preferences
for your video. Full payment is required at least seven days prior
to the wedding for a cameraperson to show up at your event.
Q:
One copy is included in the price. But how many extra copies of the
video may I order?
A: As many as you like! Additional DVD or VHS copies
are $35 each (plus sales tax - includes shipping), with discounts if you purchase in bulk or in advance of the wedding. These are subject
to sales tax. Also, you may purchase a Highlights Edition version of your video: a shortened version that is around 30 minutes long - perfect as gifts to your guests or for those who could not make the event, but who may not want to view a full-length video of an hour or more.
Q:
When will my wedding video be ready?
A: We aim for 4 to 6 weeks.
In our busy seasons (Summer and Fall) it may take closer to 8 weeks
to deliver a final product.
Q:
How far will you travel to shoot a wedding?
A: One hundred miles
round-trip is included in the price of a video. Anything more than
that and WBV, Inc., will charge travel expenses. However, even with
the cost of expenses, a Wedding Bell video will be more affordable
than most quality video services. If you suspect there might be travel
expenses, provide us with the address if the site and we'll Mapquest
it and give you an accurate estimate.
Q:
Will you interview our guests who are camera shy?
A: WBV, Inc., keeps
its interviews fun and casual and does not aim to embarrass anyone.
Interviews of wedding participants and family are completely optional.
Our cameraperson will ask the couple in advance who would be most
welcoming of on-camera interviews and who might be shy.
Question:
My reception will be dimly lit, with candles. Can your cameras handle that?
It's true that your footage won't look as bright and sharp as aspects that are well-lit. But you will be able to see what is happening just fine. We recommend turning up the lights as much as you are comfortable without ruining the mood of your party.
Q:
What types of payment are acceptable?
A: Cash, check, or money order
are acceptable payment.

Q.

A. Of course! Get
in touch with us and we'll put you in touch with them.
